with reference to the despatch from His Majesty's Consul General at Batavia to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs No.64 Secret of the 28th of April on the subject of Communist activities against the Netherlands East Indies, a copy of which has been sent to you direct by Mr. Crosby, I have the honour to state that I shall be glad to receive any observations that you may have to offer on the information oclaimed to

have been secured by the Netherlands Consulate at Canton in so far as you have not already dealt with the matter in your secret despatch of the 29th of March.
